Flit's evolution, at last! XD Honestly, I was wondering what's been taking so long. He can't have only just hit level 10...just how long did you wait to evolve him fully?
Okay, before I get into some serious questions, I just want to say one thing--what is with the "accidental hand-touch"? For someone who's as averse to shipping as you are, particularly Crystal and Silver, I have to wonder why you put those three panels in. That sort of thing doesn't have to lead to anything, but if it isn't meant to, then there's little point to it aside from adding fuel to the rabid shippers' fires. Which is not something I thought you were aiming to do with a pairing you clearly don't support.
Alright, now that that's been addressed...LEGENDARY BEASTS AHHHGFHDJLKASF Awesome intro to those three. And I love your portrayal of them. I was hoping they'd talk a little bit more, but, eh, I guess that'll come later.
Although you really should make an extra or something for all the stuff you cut out, because I'm really curious about it. (EDIT: Lol just kidding you already did. Sorry, wrote this comment a while ago.) As for the "silver goddess" thing, yeah, I've got no idea. That seems to be a common theme in SS Nuzlockes, though. The main character being "silver" or something to that effect. Quite honestly, I'm really glad I'm doing HG, because it means I can work with a completely different idea x'D
Yay for Tepi kicking ass! She's getting pretty good at that, lol. And since she didn't answer my Q+A question, I'll ask you directly--why did she have such a strong and immediate reaction to Morty's Gengar??? Was she just reacting to the fact that it was a Gengar, or did she sense something else that she hasn't told us about yet?
I really like Morty's reasoning for refusing to give Crystal the badge. People don't often take that into consideration, but he's right--you can't (or shouldn't) just earn a badge by winning the battle. You have to prove the level of responsibility that comes with carrying that badge. The only problem I see here is that he seems to just be using that as an excuse to teach Crystal about this special power of hers. It's hard to say whether he would have refused the badge to an ordinary Trainer who happened to have the same problems with their Pokemon as she did. I don't know how much they worked on this alongside training her power, if at all, so it might be fine and it might not. If in future sets Crystal has the same issues with her Pokemon not following orders, then there was clearly no development in that area during her entire month of training with Morty...which kind of negates the argument he's giving here.
One last question--this wasn't addressed in the Q+A either, I don't think--if the gift is called the "dragon eyes", why does it apply to all Pokemon instead of just dragon-types specifically?
I caught Flit at Lv. 17, but he earned experience ridiculously slowly. This is why he didn't evolve until now. Although, thinking on it, actually, he fully evolved between catching him in the Bug Catching tourney outside Goldenrod to the short distance it takes to get to Ecruteak City. Which isn't long at all. So honestly, it didn't take FOREVER. It just felt like it XD
The hand-touch thing was just me making fun of shippings. XD I like to troll lol. People keep thinking that Crystal and Silver are going to get together, so I did that to show that Crystal is, in fact, somewhat disgusted by ideas of romance. I never got to go over that, but yeah. She's not a very romantic girl. There are reasons for that, and most of them have to do with her parents. One day, I'll get to that as well XD.
As for the "Silver Goddess" thing, I actually worked it into my plot for a legit reason. But it's not the reason I think most will assume. XD I'll leave that at that.
Tepi sensed a similar aura in Morty's Gengar, and assumed it was the same one that killed her dad. That'll be explained later on, when we discover the real culprit.
As for Morty's whole refusal, he actually would refuse to hand a badge to anyone who failed to impress him with their ability to CONTROL their Pokémon. He just cleverly morphed it into his need to train her as well. Morty's very smart, and he's got quite the silver tongue. But no, if any trainer waltz in and their Pokémon started blowing shit up, he'd be like, "Hell no." That's the way that dude is XD. Crystal, after the training, clearly is a better trainer. She starts commanding her Pokémon and paying attention to strategy. You can see that later on.
It's called "dragon eyes" because of a very specific reason that I don't want to reveal yet. Has to do with the plot. XD
