EDIT: Script updates! For this particular one, I've also added in a couple of facts.
1) The Pokémon are keeping their "original Pokémon names", which is why the sound so unusual. In the comic, I will be doing a special specifically about each of the Pokémon's names that I will NOT post on Deviantart~
2) Crystal's mom used to be a Pokémon doctor, but has since retired. This point will be brought up later on in Arc II, but I wanted to give early context so that it didn't seem out of the blue later (it's also my theory as to why your mom can "heal" your team at home if you talk to her~)
EDIT// I fixed some of the fonts, made 'em bigger for easier reading. If you're still having trouble, though, let me know so I can correct it.
Thank you for your patience, it has now been paid in full to you. Excuse me while I go wreath in pain, because I'm suffering from lady cramps.
So, let me start off by saying that I HAVE NOT BROKEN ANY RULES. For the flow of the story's sake, I excluded introducing Fright until AFTER I got the egg from Elm. That first battle way back in, like, set 3 didn't count as "first encounter" because I had yet to obtain any pokeballs. We all know that. And magically, through the power of "this game truly hates me" and "Chikoru TROLLIN'", I managed to NOT run into anything on Rt. 29 on the way to Violet City.
Now on the way BACK (none of those OHKOs from Set 3 by Chiko were on Rt. 29), I caught Fright (before I got the egg), but since I've always had a thing for Togepi, I immediately boxed the bird, who was only at Lv. 2, while all his serperiors were at Lv. 13+. He just fell off my grid by process of elimination. Plus, I was still a liiiiiiittle sore over Falkner and all. Can't blame me for feeling like I got raped by this damn game.
And yes, I know you get the egg from the assistant at the market, but I went back to NBT anyways, so I figured to flow it all in together. Don't be pricks. It's MY story.
Next, I'd like to take a moment to feature one of my favorite characters: MOM. She's loosely based off of my own mother (clingy but supportive and a bit of a baby), so I can't help but feel very attached to her as a character.
Crystal obviously gets her looks from her mom. Her dad... well, we won't talk too much about him right now. ^^
Ah, the RETURN OF BACKGROUNDS, albeit, weak ones. Manga Studio provided a LOT of those tree backgrounds, and there are quite a few other backgrounds the program has. I've finally learned how to work those, so my life is ten times easier, ha ha! I also learned (finally) how to produce color directly on Manga Studio, so now I don't have to flip between programs for that! Yay! Colors are going to be slightly different from before, though, as MS's color grid isn't as...broad as PS.
Speaking of which, by popular demand, I will now do all my nuzlockes in flat color. It may speed up my updating process a bit, because shading takes the most time with this. And, heeeeeey, did ya see how I went from B&W to color on you guys? Nice flow, huh? I'm very proud of myself.
If I were a pokemon, I would've definately gained a level or two from this update alone. X3
and elm is so not a creeper for having crystal's number, yeah
Oh, and Crystal's outfit will be changing pretty constantly from now on. I get bored drawing the same clothes all the time
