Through the Distorted Glass: A SummaryAfter mourning the loss of their friend, Miguel, Lanetta forces the team to continue on. Tiana has a fit, upset that everyone is just getting up and abandoning the memories of their friend. Not fully understanding Tiana, since she doesn’t speak Pokémon, Lanetta lashes out at her, stating that death is a part of life, and if you let it hold you back, you’ll never get anywhere, always being stuck in the past. She tells Tia that Miguel wouldn’t want her to suffer over him, so she should move on. Tiana reluctantly agrees, and the team heads to Eterna Forest, where they meet Cheryl.Through the Distorted Glass: A Summary by Goddess-Chachi
Cheryl is a travelling nurse, on her way to the league to deliver a top secret new medicine called “revive” that supposedly can bring back a freshly killed Pokémon, within limits. Lane finds the technology scary, being a believer that you should respect the dead as they are. The two women butt heads on various issues of Pokémon morality, especially when Lane use
Are you a boy or girl?
I am WOMAN.
What program(s) do you use to draw?
I use Manga Studio Debut 4to draw my Soul Silver nuzlocke, and Photoshop CS6 as well.
Do you use a tablet? What kind?
Yes, I use a tablet. I have a Wacom Bamboo Touch tablet. She's mah baby~
Do you have tutorials?
Yes, on various things. You may check them all out here: goddess-chachi.deviantart.com/…
I make them as I feel the urge to, so more may be made in the future.
Do you take commissions?
Yes and no. Yes, I do, but no, they aren't open right now. Sorry.
What's your favorite Pokemon?
I really suck at the favorites game, so I can't rightly say. I like Bayleef, Ampharos, and Lugia a lot, though. Their designs speak to me.
Do you have a Tumblr?
Yes, but I don't use it.
Do you have a Skype?
Yes, it's the same as my handle here. Feel free to add me, I suppose. I may or may not talk to you.
Do you do anything other than nuzlockes?
I used to do adoptables, and I DO have a lot of OCs, but I haven't put any of their stories (other than Once Upon A NIGHTMARE...) up on DA yet. I'm not certain if I ever will, since those things are more personal than, say, a nuzlocke. But one day, they may grace the public with their presence.
Have you beaten the game yet?
I beat all my games before I start with comics or story. If I don't, I at least wait until I get to the Elite 4, because by then, it really doesn't matter, since I really don't play post game. Except with Soul Silver. I played the entire game, post stuff and all.
How often do you update?
Unfortunately, really slowly. About once a month. I have to balance school and a part-time job, so that doesn't leave a lot of time for drawing. However, updates usually pick up around the holidays or over summer.
How long does it take to do a set?
If I'm diligent, 3 days at the most. One day to sketch and script, one day to line art, and one day to color. In a perfect world, which doesn't exist, of course.
Why are so many of your couples non-breedable?
When I started nuzlocking, I didn't take Pokemon seriously enough to understand the mechanics of breeding or egg groups. Honestly, they still don't matter to me. In the beginning, though, I was ignorant, and just paired Pokemon together I thought were cute. Then some stuff happened, and I learned about egg groups, and started being more careful. But basically, it was a happy accident that most of my couples can't breed. That's okay, though; being able to have kids shouldn't determine if you'll be with someone anyway. You should love them for them, if you love them at all.
Do you plan your stories before or while you're working on the comic?
Before. Do you have any idea how hard it is to plan a story WHILE YOU WRITE?! The human brain works by constantly adding and revamping and trashing and bringing back your best and worst ideas. I plan my stories out, finalize the major details, then let the little things flow. Some stuff is done on a whim, but they're very minute. The basics are all planed and set in stone.
Why a semi-gijinka run?
Well... that's a style preference. When I started CSSN, I wasn't sure if I wanted to do a gijinka or purely Pokemon run. I didn't want to do just a gijinka run because that required a TON of creativity in design while making the people OBVIOUSLY based off Pokemon, and I didn't want to do a purely Pokemon run because I wasn't good at drawing animals. So... I decided to do both. Thus, a semi-gijinka run.
Can I/my OC be a cameo in your nuzlocke?
Sure! I'm always looking for background people to add in, so I can fill up the white space. Just link me your OC's ref, and I'll save it to add in later~
Can I cameo/ make fan art of your nuzlocke OC(s) (Crystal, Lanetta, Jay, or Chachi)?
Absolutely! I'd love that! Please feel free to cameo or draw them, if you'd like!
What are you going to do after your nuzlocke(s) is completed?
When CSSN is done, I plan to do a GIJINKA EMERALD RUN. I've gotten the story planned out, but I need to play the game and actually nuzlocke it.
TTDG is cancelled, so Feeling Good will be taking it's place. I'm not certain what I'll do then. Maybe a picturelocke of Black/White. Or an original story. I don't quite know yet. We'll see what the future holds.
